In 2009/10 MA were commissioned by FW to conduct commercial and management DD for three separate transactions. The three businesses involved were involved in (a) the provision of environmental management software services to local authorities (b) the provision of medical gas services to Ambulance Trusts in the UK and (c) the distribution of generic drugs in the UK.

Facilitas Group

For this specialist provider of support and engineering services MA has advised on several acquisitions covering property services, public sector housing and mechanical and electrical services. The group now has a turnover of c£50 million pa. Our work has involved detailed customer referencing, competitor analysis, market forecasting and company valuations.

Collins Stewart/ PRG

Collins Stewart were engaged by the Public Recruitment Group to raise funds via an IPO, and MA were asked to assist by conducting marketing due diligence to evaluate the size and structure of the market PRG operate in, their competitive positioning, and key economic, political and regulatory factors affecting the development of the temporary employment market.

Brewin Dolphin/ Vianet

On behalf of Brewin Dolphin, MA conducted independent marketing due diligence on Vianet, a provider of information systems and services to the European vending industry.
Our work involved analysing the current and future market potential for Vianet's services; evaluating the risks to Vianet's business strategy; and appraising the viability of Vianet's business model and sales projections.

Granville Baird /Elan

MA were commissioned by Granville Baird to conduct detailed commercial due diligence on Elan, one of UK’s leading IT contractors.
A detailed risk analysis of the proposed investment was prepared which tested the various marketing/sales assumptions underlying the company’s proposed business plan.
In addition, following the investment, MA devised a marketing strategy to Elan covering service mix and competitive positioning, branding and communications, and overseas expansion.

Roxspur/Telecommunications Group

MA was commissioned by Roxspur plc to conduct marketing due diligence on three telecoms businesses, with a view to their merger.
Our work analysed the competitive positioning of the three businesses, current and future market potential, and their current and prospective customer base.
After our due diligence was completed, Anglia Telecom, PhoneDirect and Ventelo Belgium/Netherlands merged to form The Telecommunications Group.

Fortis Bank/WGSN

We were appointed by Fortis Bank to conduct marketing and management due diligence on Worth Global Style Network Ltd (WGSN), a leading provider of online research and information in the fashion and style industries. Our due diligence considered WGSN's competitive positioning, their business and revenue model, and risks/opportunities potentially impacting the value of the business.
